The attacker Park Chu-Young will sign a contract with a London club this weekend. The value of the deal could reach around 6 million euros.
The captain of the South Korean national team will arrive in the capital of England, where he will undergo a medical check-up.
Interestingly, 26-year-old Chu-Young agreed to a contract with Lille a few days ago and even underwent a medical examination, but after receiving an unexpected call from Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, he decided to go to England.
After spending some time in the hands of the doctors, the Korean simply disappeared: "No one contacted us, no one called. From what we hear, he went to Arsenal. And everything was agreed upon," said Lille president Michel Seydoux.
Last season in the French championship, the attacker scored 11 goals in 33 matches.
Wenger hopes that before the end of the summer transfer window, Arsenal will add three new players to their ranks.
