Jonathan Woodgate, Madrid summer purchase who still hasn't recovered from injuries, seems to be nowhere near his debut in the ranks of the Royal club.
The player, bought for 20 million euros from Newcastle in August 2004, is still struggling to recover from a thigh injury he suffered nine months ago while wearing Newcastle's kit.
Before signing a contract with Real, he had to undergo a three-hour medical examination by Real Madrid club doctors, after which it was announced that the English national team defender should recover within a few weeks. However, this diagnosis did not prove true, and although it was expected that Woodgate would appear in Real's lineup in October, the defender's injury relapsed just before the planned debut.
According to the latest information, the player's injury condition is not improving, and after further examinations, it is believed that the defender will have to wait until next season for his debut in the Royal club.
