The best European footballer of the past year, Ukrainian Andriy Shevchenko, will miss the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match against "Man Utd" and possibly the city derby with "Inter" due to a cheekbone injury.
The 28-year-old striker suffered the injury during Saturday's match against "Cagliari" when he collided heads with an opponent defender in the 11th minute and was forced to leave the field. The official website released a statement that the player will undergo surgery on Monday, which will keep him out for ten to twelve days.
This news is a tough blow for the Rossoneri, as they have two very important matches next week: the first is the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match on Wednesday against "Man Utd" and the Italian championship match on Sunday, the city derby against "Inter" team.
