After five months of recovering from injury, Steven Gerrard will soon return to the field.
The 31-year-old footballer underwent a groin operation in March. It is expected that the Englishman will step onto the green field in the away match against London's Tottenham on September 18.
"I feel really good, can kick the ball again, so the news is positive," said Gerrard. "I will start training with full force on Thursday or Friday.
"I won't play against Stoke next Saturday, but I hope I can appear in the match against Tottenham. The coach will decide that."
Last season, Gerrard scored four goals in 21 matches in the Premier League.
