Striker Carlos Tevez admitted that this summer he struggled with depression and weight problems.

The Argentine wanted to leave his English club due to family circumstances, but negotiations with potential buyers fell through - at least until the new year he will stay in Manchester.

"I'm not as **** as others say. I just had a lot of personal problems this summer," Tevez said.

"I gained five or six kilograms, so I had to seek medical help. I was plagued by depression, so I ate excessively. Only my family and friends knew about it."

Tevez did not shine in the "Copa America" tournament this summer, where he did not score any goals in three matches.
