Seville President Declares War on the Monopoly of "Real" and "Barcelona" Clubs © EuroFootball.com

President Jose Maria del Nido is entering the battle against the Spanish football giants from Madrid and Barcelona.

The Sevilla team leader meets with colleagues from other clubs, except the two mentioned, to discuss the current situation.

Del Nido is outraged that "Real" and "Barcelona" receive about 140 million euros per season from television broadcasts - 100 million more than any other team. As a result, in the Spanish league, only these two teams dominate, while other opponents are crushed and fall behind by dozens of points in the tournament table. Last season, "Valencia", which finished in third place, was 25 points behind "Real", who took the second position.

"This is a revolution of the common people, reminiscent of the French Revolution. We will see what happens to the king," Del Nido recalled history.

In Spain, clubs negotiate contracts with television stations separately, while in England they are represented together, so they receive similar revenues.

"It is impossible to stop this movement, because Spain is the only strong football country in Europe that has chosen such a model of divisions," said the president of Sevilla. - "Real" and "Barcelona" are against it: the leaders of these clubs call others and urge them to boycott meetings."
