On Thursday evening, they opened the new stadium with a friendly match against "Notts County" club from England.
The 40 thousand seat stadium was built in place of the former "Stadio delle Alpi" arena and cost 120 million euros. It is the first modern stadium in Italy, with 84 luxury suites, a commercial center, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, it is dedicated solely to football: there are no running tracks for athletics.
The friendly match ended in a 1-1 draw.
