Striker Asamoah Gyan, experiencing not the best times, was loaned to the United Arab Emirates club "Al Ain".
The leader of the Ghana national team arrived in England for 15 million euros from "Rennes" in the summer of 2010 and demonstrated excellent form.
However, from the second half of last season until now, Gyan's playing curve has clearly declined. Sunderland coach Steve Bruce blamed "parasitic agents" for this, spinning the African player's head with "impressive, but never officially received" offers.
According to the strategist, everything started after the England national team match with Ghana, in which Gyan scored a goal.
"Since those matches in London, the parasites, as I call them, have turned his head," Bruce said. "People constantly talk to him about moving to another team and this causes difficulties. Rumors never stop: he's going to "Real" in Madrid, then to "Bayern" in Munich, then to "Valencia", then to "Atletico" in Madrid.
And he continued: "Everyone who saw Asamoah on the field recently understands that he is lost. Therefore, this leasing opportunity suits all parties, and the club feels safe because the footballer's contract is valid for another three years. We hope that he will find his spark again and return to the team by demonstrating the game that fascinated us all."
Last season in 31 matches in the "Premier" League, Gyan scored 10 goals, but in the new season he failed to score in three matches.
