Eight matches were played in the Italian "Serie A" championship on Sunday.

"Inter" took the lead at the end of the first half: after a sluggish first half-hour, Diego Milito equalized Dejan Stankovic's shot by scoring in the 33rd minute.

In the 48th minute, Fabrizio Miccoli equalized, but Diego Milito converted an 11-meter penalty shortly after to once again put the visitors in the lead.

And this time - not for long. In the 54th minute, Abel Hernandez defeated the Milan team's goalkeeper for the second time after a great attack, and at the end of the match, Julio Cesar pulled the ball from his own goal twice. Miccoli scored from the penalty spot, and shortly after, Mauricio Pinilla secured the lead.

Already in referee's added time, "Inter" debutant Diego Forlan restored hope by scoring the third goal for the visitors, but the final siege did not change the results: "Palermo" celebrated victory.

Multiple-time national champion Milan's "Inter" club suffered an unexpected defeat, losing 4-3 to "Palermo" after a dramatic battle away.

Ambitious Turin's "Juventus" club started the season triumphantly, easily crushing "Parma" 4-1 in their new stadium.

It was the first official match at the new home of "The Old Lady."

The first goal came in the 16th minute when Stephan Lichtsteiner confused the goalkeeper after a superb Andrea Pirlo pass, sending the ball into the net, and Simone Pepe doubled the lead in the 58th minute.

Newcomer Chilean Arturo Vidal scored the third goal from afar, and Claudio Marchisio finished off the opponents. However, the guests softened the score at the end of the match: Sebastian Giovinco converted the referee's awarded 11-meter penalty, and Paolo De Ceglie, who committed the foul, was also shown the red card.
