In the German championship on Sunday, two matches were played.
Mario Mandzukic's goals buried Gelzenkirchen's Schalke in a match against Wolfsburg - 2-1.
Although Raul put Schalke ahead in the 13th minute with a header, the Croatian who defeated the opponents' goalkeeper twice allowed Wolfsburg to celebrate their first win of the season.
Timmy Simons, who converted two penalties from 11 meters, decided Nurnberg's 2-1 victory against Cologne.
Simons converted standard situations into goals in the 31st and 35th minutes. Interestingly, both times the rules were violated by Cologne's team captain Pedro Geromel, who first knocked down Markus Feulner, and later - Tomas Pekhart.
However, Adil Chichu gave the hosts hope by sending the ball into the net after Lukas Podolski's shot was blocked by the goalkeeper, but Cologne failed to steal a draw.
Both teams finished the match with incomplete squads: Pekhart of Nurnberg left the field in the 42nd minute after receiving two yellow cards, and Feulner saw a red card in the 75th minute for a rough foul.
