Andres Iniesta will have to cope without the main midfielder, who suffered a thigh injury.
The footballer got injured during Tuesday's Champions League match against Milan, when he broke through the opponent's defender Ignazio Abate in the 38th minute. Feeling pain, the Spaniard left the field and asked for a substitution - Cesc Fabregas replaced him.
"Andres has been playing at the highest level for so many years, but unfortunately, sometimes these things happen. He will recover," Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola said.
There is also no other injured midfielder Alex Sanchez in the Catalan ranks, and defender Gerard Pique cannot take to the field either.
