Coach Pep Guardiola is not in a hurry to promise new trophies.
The Spanish champions acquired Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez in the summer, but the last two matches against Real Sociedad and Milan ended in draws and received criticism because of it.
"I will never promise any trophies. Honestly, it would be just as normal if we didn't win anything," said Guardiola. "All I can promise is that the team will play recognizable football."
Lately, Barcelona's lineup has been affected by injuries: Carles Puyol continues to struggle with old problems, Gerard Pique, Sanchez, and Andres Iniesta have been sidelined.
But Guardiola did not look for excuses: "Last season we had the same problems with Jeffren and Bojan Krkic, now it's Iniesta and Sanchez. Nothing has changed."
On Saturday, Barcelona will play against Osasuna from Pamplona at home.
