On Sunday, eight matches were played in the Italian "Serie A" championship.

One of the favorites, Napoli, continued their winning streak with three goals from Edinson Cavani at home, defeating the defending champions but winless Milan in the first two rounds.

The visitors took the lead after 11 minutes with a goal from Alberto Aquilani, but almost immediately Cavani equalized with a precise strike.

In the 36th minute, the Uruguayan striker put the hosts ahead, and securing his third goal, sealed the victory.

In another match, Juventus won for the second time in a row, defeating Siena 1-0.

The only goal of the match was scored by Alessandro Matri in the 54th minute, as Juventus dominated and missed several chances for a more impressive result.

The early match did not pass without difficulties: the game was interrupted for more than half an hour due to heavy rain, but eventually Atalanta proved superiority over Palermo with a 1-0 victory.

The referee had to send players to the dressing room in the 62nd minute, as the field was unsuitable for playing due to the strong rain. However, the rain eventually stopped and the teams returned to the pitch.

However, no more goals were scored: Atalanta's victory was determined by Germano Denis' precise shot in the first half.

After recovering from injury, Marius Stankevicius played his first official match with Lazio, the Lithuanian appearing on the field as a substitute in the 81st minute, but his efforts were not enough for a victory. The capital club unexpectedly lost 1-2 at home to Genoa.
