Reyes: Spain's Championship is Definitely Stronger than England's © EuroFootball.com

Madrid forward Jose Antonio Reyes insists that competing against Madrid's "Real" and "Barcelona" teams in the Spanish championship is practically impossible.

Lately, there have been talks that there is a lack of intrigue in the Spanish league, as there is no club capable of challenging these two giants. However, these discussions have been somewhat overshadowed by the draw of the Catalonian teams with "Real Sociedad" and "Real's" loss to "Levante".

Reyes admitted that hoping to take one of the top two spots is unrealistic: "Barcelona" and "Real" are very strong teams that can practically buy any player they want. Therefore, competing with them is practically impossible.

The league is divided into two parts: the two leaders fight each other, while all the other teams compete for the remaining positions. "Atlético"'s goal is the third place and a ticket to the Champions League.

Reyes also claimed that the Spanish championship is stronger than the English "Premier" league, where he has played before: "In Spain, the league is the best, there are no doubts about it. It's fun to play in England because of the high tempo, lack of breaks, and the referee only notices clear fouls. However, in Spain, football is of higher quality and more based on positional play."
