Strategist Roberto Mancini confirmed that in the Champions League match against Munich, forward Carlos Tevez refused to step onto the field after being substituted.

The Argentine was supposed to replace a teammate in the second half, when the English team was trying to overturn the two-goal advantage the Germans had. The result remained the same until the end of the match - the hosts won 2-0.

"I wanted Carlos to step onto the field, but he refused. The situation is really bad. I can't justify such a decision," Mancini said.

And he added: "If it were up to me, Tevez would no longer be in the club. He doesn't exist in my team."

After an impressive last season in which Tevez was a leader for Man City, the footballer's relationship with the club officials deteriorated. Due to family circumstances, he expressed a desire to be sold and stated he did not want to set foot in the disliked Manchester anymore.

However, despite his wishes, the English team could not find a buyer for the forward, so he had to stay at least until the beginning of next year. Upon his return to England, Tevez admitted to gaining weight and suffering from depression, which limited his chances to perform on the field due to poor form.

In the Premier League, he played three matches, starting in one of them, but failed to score any goals.

In the mentioned match against Bayern, another discontent player was Man City forward Edin Dzeko, whom Mancini decided to substitute in the second half. The player was visibly upset by this decision.

"Edin played poorly in the match, so I should be the one upset, not him. This is the last time such a thing will happen," Mancini said.
