Carlos Tevez was suspended by the club for a maximum of two weeks for refusing to appear on the field after being substituted.
According to coach Roberto Mancini, the Argentinean refused to play in the second Champions League match against Bayern Munich. The player himself defended himself, claiming that it was just a misunderstanding: supposedly he was warmed up and ready to step on the grass.
The team's leaders plan to clarify the situation and inform about the decision made.
Over the next two weeks, the Manchester team will only play one English Championship match due to international selection tournaments: this Saturday away against Blackburn.
