"Hamburg" temporarily taken over by Arnesenas © EuroFootball.com

Newly appointed coach Frank Arnesen, who has been working as the club's sports director until now.

Last month, Michael Oenning was dismissed from his duties, but Hamburg's team has not yet found a replacement for him. Arnesen will continue until this is done.

"I will coach until we find the most suitable person for this position," Arnesen said.

For a while after Oenning's dismissal, his assistant Rodolfo Cardoso coached the team, but the Argentine's permission to work in Germany expired and was not renewed, as he does not have the qualification required by the country's football federation.

Meanwhile, Arnesen has not yet worked as a head coach. However, he has assisted famous specialists like Bobby Robson and has led clubs' talent search departments, holding similar positions.

In the Bundesliga, Hamburg has only managed to gather four points in 8 rounds and currently holds the 18th position.
