Czech journalists described their first impressions upon arriving in Lithuania.

According to the media, their country's footballers who arrived in Lithuania on Sunday were surprised by the empty Vilnius airport, which was only lively due to the arrival of boxer Egidijus Kavaliauskas with a bronze medal from the championship in Azerbaijan.

"Soon the building was completely empty and after just fifteen minutes we were already traveling by bus," said national team representative Jaroslav Kolar, vividly remembering a match in Lithuania twelve years ago, when the Czechs crushed the home team 4-0.

In the center of Kaunas, there was also a sense of calm - people enjoyed the sunny Sunday afternoon and there was no sign of the upcoming European Championship qualifying matches.

On Monday morning, the Czechs reviewed video material about their future opponents and could rest until the evening training session.

According to the press, the Lithuanians were not very keen to play at such a late time (21:40), but UEFA decided that the match should take place at the same time as in Spain.

"It could have been worse, because usually the Spanish play an hour later," said the Czech representative.
