he Spanish national team continues to impress the football world with impressive records.

The reigning champions in the 2012 European Championship qualifying tournament defeated Scotland 3-1 on Tuesday, securing their 14th consecutive victory. With this result, the Spaniards are now tied with record holders: the Netherlands team, whose streak was broken last year in the World Cup final against Spain, and France.

Naturally, Vicente Del Bosque's team defeated all opponents in the Old Continent's qualifiers. Among them was Lithuania, who also lost 1-3.

Additionally, David Villa, who scored against the Scottish goal, is now among the great strikers who have scored more than fifty goals representing their countries.

The 29-year-old footballer made his 50th goal on Tuesday, joining the likes of Robbie Keane and Thierry Henry (51 goals each), Zico (52), Romario (55), Gabriel Batistuta (56), Ronaldo and Miroslav Klose (62), Gerd Muller (68), Pele (77), and Ferenc Puskas (84).
