On Tuesday, eight matches of the third round of the Champions League were played.
The winning streak of Bayern Munich was interrupted - the Germans played a 1-1 draw with Napoli in Group A.
The match for the visitors from Bavaria started really well: just 2 minutes into the game, Toni Kroos scored a goal from close range.
Although Bayern dominated and had chances to increase their advantage, Holger Badstuber scored an own goal just before halftime to equalize the score.
After the break, Mario Gomez failed to convert a penalty kick from 11 meters, and the score remained unchanged.
Real Madrid team swept aside Lyon with a 4-0 victory in Group D.
The first goal for the hosts was scored in the 19th minute by former Lyon forward Karim Benzema, and Sami Khedira doubled the lead in the 47th minute after a pass from the same Frenchman.
Soon after, Mesut Ozil gave Real a three-goal advantage, and Sergio Ramos completed the rout of their opponents.
In the early matches, Moscow's CSKA crushed Trabzonspor 3-0 at home.
Lithuanian national team defender Deividas Šemberas appeared on the pitch in the 69th minute, replacing Pavel Mamaev.
CSKA took the lead in the 29th minute when Seydou Doumbia scored after a pass from Vagner Love. Aleksandrs Cauna doubled the lead in the 76th minute, and just before the final whistle, Doumbia scored his second goal for the team from the Ivory Coast.
