The parliamentary group "For the Future of Lithuanian Football" was established in the Seimas. Currently, it consists of 15 members of the Seimas: Arvydas Anušauskas, Petras Auštrevičius, Mindaugas Bastys, Dainius Budrys, Vydas Gedvilas, Evaldas Jurkevičius, Algis Kazulėnas, Jonas Liesys, Vitas Matuzas, Andrius Mazuronis, Juozas Olekas, Saulius Pečeliūnas, Žilvinas Šilgalis, Egidijus Vareikis, and Arvydas Vidžiūnas.
The goal of the parliamentary group is to strengthen the control of responsible institutions for the development of football in Lithuania, to analyze the governance structure of Lithuanian football and to suggest ways to improve it, to promote and supervise the implementation of strategically important infrastructure projects for Lithuanian football.
The group will also seek to contribute to the creation of a development strategy for Lithuanian football and oversee its implementation, popularize this sport in society, and contribute to the development of Lithuanian football culture.
