C. Marchena stays in Valencia until 2011

Spanish national team defender Carlos Marchena has extended his contract with for another six years and will remain at this club until 2011.

C.Marchena, who has extended his contract with the club, says he is very happy: "I am very pleased with this agreement. I want to thank the president and the fans for the trust they have shown," says the 26-year-old defender.

C.Marchena won the national championship and the UEFA Cup with Valencia in the 2003/2004 season.
