Madrid leader Cristiano Ronaldo announced that the main goal for the team this season is to win the Spanish championship.
Since arriving at the club in 2009, the Portuguese has only won one trophy - the Spanish King's Cup.
It was said that the well-known "Real" coach Jose Mourinho was brought in with the task of bringing back the team's glory in the Champions League, but C. Ronaldo thinks differently.
"I want to win the Spanish league. I think that is the club's priority," he said. "Of course, if we win the national championship and then the Champions League, it will be amazing.
We have to aim for big victories, because we have one of the best teams in the world. We will work hard to prove that."
The last time "Real" rejoiced as the most powerful Spanish club was in 2008.
