Preparing for the upcoming Lithuanian football "A League" championship starting next month, Vilnius chose to go to Norway after a physical training camp in Palanga to improve their playing skills, as reported by the club's updated website.
The team "Vėtra" extended their preparation for the new season in the Norwegian city of Haugesund from March 2-8, and will play two friendly matches with the team from Haugesund.
For various reasons, five players from the capital's club will remain at home for training - Nerijus Vasiliauskas, Saulius Kijanskas, Izraelis Awenayeri Douglas, Darvydas Šernas, and Žydrūnas Grudzinskas, so a total of 16 players will go to Scandinavia.
By the way, last Saturday in Panevėžys, "Vėtra" played friendly matches against the local team "Ekranas" and lost to the opponents with a score of 0-2. The goals were scored by Gediminas Paulauskas and Mantas Savėnas for the winners.
