The fine imposed on Carlos Tevez was reduced to the deduction of two weeks' salary, as the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) did not support a double penalty.
The club conducted an investigation, which revealed that Tevez violated five clauses of the contract, including refusal to play in the match against Bayern Munich.
However, PFA supported the Argentine's claim that he only refused to warm up, so the punishment cannot be so severe. His four-week salary amounts to over 1 million euros.
Tevez has repeatedly stated that he is not happy in the Man City team and is likely to be sold in the winter. It is said that San Paulo Corinthians may try to acquire him.
