The head of the German football league, Christian Seifert, is convinced that it would be much more difficult for Cristiano Ronaldo to shine in the championships he leads than in Spain.
The leader of the Portuguese national team left "Man Utd" in 2009 for a record sum of 94 million euros and moved to Real Madrid, where during this time he managed to score 98 goals.
"I am sure that in Germany C. Ronaldo would not be a superstar," said Seifert. "Since 2000, the youth development centers have raised the Bundesliga championship to a new level."
He also praised Bastian Schweinsteiger representing Bayern Munich: "He is 27 years old, and in the national team this player has already played almost 100 matches. In addition, he is a midfielder, which is more important than a goalkeeper or defender."
