Strategist Luis Enrique fired Italian Mauro Tassotti after 17 years for breaking his nose during the 1994 World Cup match.
The incident occurred in the quarter-final clash, when Tassotti intentionally hit his opponent. Enrique was bleeding as his nose was broken, and the Italian was later suspended for eight matches.
"There are no problems with Tassotti. What happens on the field, stays on the field. I know he regretted what he did," said Enrique.
Before a "Serie A" match, the former Spanish national team defender approached Tassotti, who works as an assistant coach at "Milan", and in front of gathered journalists, smilingly shook his hand.
