On Tuesday, eight matches of the Champions League were played in the fourth round.
After them, the two strongest teams in Group H secured their tickets to the knockout stages - "Barcelona" (10 points) and "Milan" (8 points). However, they played differently this week - led by three goals from Lionel Messi, Barcelona easily defeated Plzen "Viktoria" 4-0 away (1 point), while Milan settled for a 1-1 draw with BATE from Belarus.
In the latter match, the visitors took the lead after Zlatan Ibrahimović scored a goal from close range following a pass from Robinho in the first half, but after the break Renan Bressan converted a penalty from 11 meters to equalize the score.
In Group G, APOEL from Nicosia continues to impress, defeating the Portuguese champions "Porto" 2-1 at home after a dramatic battle.
The Cypriots, who lead the group with 8 points, secured victory with a goal scored in added time. In second place is St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, which defeated Donetsk's "Shakhtar" 1-0 with a goal scored at the end of the first half, complicating the Ukrainians' chances of reaching the knockout stages.
