Guardiola denies talks about Messi and Villa conflict © EuroFootball.com

Strategist Pep Guardiola denies rumors of a rift between forwards David Villa and Lionel Messi.

"Superdeporte" reported that the football players have not been getting along lately, but both Guardiola and Messi dismissed these claims.

"Arguing with David is impossible. He is very pleasant both on the field and off it. Leo is also a good person, so there is no conflict," said the Spanish champions' coach.

Guardiola also did not comment on the facts revealed in former team player Zlatan Ibrahimović's autobiography about their conflict.

"I have nothing to say. When making decisions, I did not base them on personal issues," added the coach. "I just want to thank Zlatan for the season during which we collected 99 points. Ibrahimović played, proved his worth, and helped us reach the Champions League semi-finals."
