After training for only four months, Massimo Ficcadenti was relieved of his duties. The 44-year-old specialist took over his work in mid-August, replacing former Italy national team strategist Roberto Donadoni. The latter worked only for two weeks of the new season. Ficcadenti won three out of ten matches, played four draws, and lost three times, but the 10th place in the tournament table did not impress the club's management. Former Genoa and Palermo coach Davide Ballardini is considered the favorite to take the vacant position.
