London defender Jose Bosingwa refuses to represent the Portuguese national team as long as it is led by Paulo Bento.
The footballer was not included in the national team lineup for the crucial 2012 European Championship qualifying matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bento questioned whether Bosingwa's behavior and psychological state were suitable.
The defender did not hide his anger at such comments: "I don't know what he's talking about. I feel offended, I'm not shown any respect. I will not play for the national team as long as Bento is in charge."
He continued: "I'm proud that I avoided embarrassing moments in the national team. Meanwhile, Bento's behavior in 2000 is remembered by everyone. Many know that he conflicts with players. Paulo lacks the qualities necessary to do this job."
Recently, another defender Ricardo Carvalho also left the national team for the same reasons.
