Bert van Marwijk will soon sign a new contract to lead the Netherlands national team until 2016.

"Everything is moving in the right direction. We haven't signed anything yet, but I think there won't be any problems," said the coach, whose players are preparing for friendly matches against Switzerland and Germany.

Van Marwijk took over the reins of his native country's national team after the 2008 European Championship and managed to achieve 14 consecutive victories, reaching the final of the World Cup. However, they were defeated by Spain.

The Dutch easily secured a place in the final stage of next year's European Championship, winning nine matches in the qualifying tournament and only stumbling against Sweden."
