Dimitar Berbatov practically does not rise from the bench this season, but he does not spare praise for the manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Last season the Bulgarian was one of the most prolific Premier League players, but he lost his place in the starting lineup. Seeing this situation, the clubs Paris St. Germain and Galatasaray from Istanbul are interested in him.
However, Berbatov stated: "The coach treats the players incredibly well. Even when you are not playing or are injured, he talks to you, encourages you. This makes you feel special and know your place in the team."
The striker also hopes to prove himself in training: "Some players need to be encouraged in training, have a face-to-face talk. At that moment, I just need to be told what is expected of me in the match and in practice, and then I will strive to achieve it.
"I cannot speak for others, but it is always pleasant when Ferguson asks about my well-being and reassures me. He knows how to motivate even when we are not talking about football."
In the Premier League, Berbatov played 5 matches, starting only one, and did not score any goals.
