The England national team delighted their fans, on Saturday defeating the world champion Spain 1-0 in a friendly match in London.
The only goal was scored in the 49th minute by goalkeeper Frank Lampard.
Earlier on, Darren Bent hit the crossbar of the Spanish goal, but the visitors had more than one opportunity to save themselves. David Villa was the closest to scoring, hitting the post, and Cesc Fabregas missed a great chance.
Leading the Mexican national team to their first victory was coach Jose Manuel de la Torres, whose team defeated Serbia 2-0.
The goals were scored by Carlos Salcido and Javier Hernandez.
The revival of the Wales national team continues - under Gary Speed, the team crushed Norway 4-1.
The victory was sealed by goals from Gareth Bale, Craig Bellamy, and Sam Vokes (2). Erik Huseklepp scored for Norway.
