In a dramatic Sunday match of the English championship, "Liverpool" beat local "Chelsea" 2-1 in London thanks to a superb goal by Glen Johnson.

The visitors dominated the first half and deservedly took the lead in the 33rd minute when "Chelsea" defender John Obi Mikel lost the ball in a dangerous position. Craig Bellamy played a quick one-two with Luis Suarez and set up Maxi Rodriguez, who easily beat Petr Cech from close range.

After the break, London team manager Andre Villas Boas substituted Mikel with Daniel Sturridge. This tactical move soon paid off: in the 55th minute, after a Florent Malouda cross, Sturridge scored the equalizer.

Shortly after, "Liverpool" goalkeeper Pepe Reina made a fantastic save from a Branislav Ivanovic header, but in the 87th minute luck smiled on the visitors.

Charlie Adam played a long pass to Johnson during a quick attack, who skillfully controlled the ball, dribbled past the entire "Chelsea" defense, entered the penalty area, and scored a goal against his former team.

Earlier on the field, wearing the hosts' jerseys, appeared two former "Liverpool" players: midfielder Raul Meireles and forward Fernando Torres, but neither of them could save the "Blues" - the victory went to Liverpool.

With this result, four teams, including "Liverpool" and "Chelsea", are tied in the league table with 22 points each, sharing 4th-7th places. However, London's "Tottenham" club has played two fewer games.
