London strategist Andre Villas Boas remains calm about his future, even though the team lost three out of the last four matches in the English Premier League.
Furthermore, there have been reports in the press about strained relationships between the Portuguese coach and the club's owner, Roman Abramovich. The specialist denied this information.
"He didn't pay a 15 million euro ransom for me to Porto's team just to now pay another huge sum and kick me out," said Villas Boas.
"There is no need to question the owner's patience. We agreed to create something new in this club and what we are doing is aimed towards the future."
After the defeat 1-2 to Liverpool on Sunday, Chelsea is currently sharing the 4-7 places in the league table and is already 12 points behind the leader Manchester City.
"We are dedicated to the club and the work we are doing to build the future. We have enough talent to compete in all tournaments. That's our perspective at the moment," the Portuguese coach did not lose optimism.
He continued: "I don't shy away from responsibility. I don't ask for transitional years, I don't ask for time to achieve results. We have a responsibility to win as many trophies as possible, and we are still competing in four tournaments. Of course, the start is not the best, but we haven't lost our belief."
