Former Spanish national team player Miguel Angel Nadal announced his retirement from professional football. He ended his long and successful career where he began - at the "Mallorca" club.

At the age of 38, Nadal made his debut for "Mallorca" in April 1987 in a match against "Barcelona" - the team he later joined and won many titles with.

The Spaniard was part of Barcelona's "dream team" in the first half of the past decade. During his time at the Catalan club, Nadal won the European Champions Cup in 1992, triumphed in the UEFA Cup in 1997, and won both European Super Cups after these victories.

He collected numerous titles with "Barcelona" in his homeland: he managed to win the "La Liga" championship five times, the Spanish Cup three times, and the Spanish Super Cup four times.

In 1999, Nadal returned home to "Mallorca" and helped the club win the "King's Cup" in 2003. In total, he played 462 matches in the national championship, scoring 33 goals.

Nadal made his debut for the national team in December 1991 in a match against Czechoslovakia. It was one of his 62 appearances for the national team, and the last time he played for it was during the 2002 World Cup.
