Specialist from Lithuania Aurelijus Skarbalius led "Brondby" club unexpectedly defeated the leader "Kobenhavn" with a score of 2-1 in the Danish championship on Sunday.
This was Skarbalius' first victory since starting to work at the team's helm at the end of October. The first two matches ended in a draw.
In front of more than 10 thousand spectators, "Brondby" took the lead in the 18th minute when American Clarence Goodson sent the ball into the net, but Dame N'Doye equalized before halftime.
The hosts' victory was secured by a precise strike from Thomas Rasmussen who entered the field as a substitute.
After 16 rounds in the tournament table with twelve clubs, "Brondby" is currently in 10th place with 17 points.
