The initiative of the football club "Trakai" did not go unnoticed in August, when a camp organized by the Italian champion was held in Trakai. The coach of the famous club's goalkeepers, Valerio Fiori, personally invited 13 of the most talented children from the camp to the "Milan" World Finals - a global children's football tournament in Italy, where the best footballers have the opportunity to enter the doors of the "Milan" football academy.

"Your children have great potential and excellent physical abilities. Italian children only surpass Lithuanians in terms of technical skills, but their biggest downside is overconfidence in their abilities from a young age. They are not interested in anything, while for Lithuanians, teaching lessons is a pleasure," said Stefano Chiussi, a representative of the Milan camps for the Baltic countries.

In the "Milan World Finals," children from 49 countries around the world participated, making it incredibly challenging to stand out. "Luck often plays a factor in these camps. I know that many talented children go unnoticed, but that's life. The most talented ones will eventually be successful," shared V. Fiori, a longtime goalkeeper for the "Milan" club and now the vice president.

"We have a goal to establish a football academy in Lithuania within five years. I have no doubt that our excellent relationship with "Trakai" will help accelerate this process. Experience shows that selecting the most talented children and taking them to Italy will be much easier then," V. Fiori named the club's goals.

The "Milan" club, which started cooperation with the football club "Trakai" more than half a year ago, has engaged in a social project in which socially vulnerable children are involved in active sports activities. "We want even underprivileged children to feel that "Milan," "Real," or "Barcelona" are not another world and that everyone has equal chances to play at the highest level club. This time, we helped ten-year-old Deividas go to Italy, next time we will help others," said the initiator of the project and president of the football club "Trakai," Jan Nevoina.
