Another talent from the Barcelona youth academy has tied his future to the Catalan club.
It was officially announced on Thursday that Jonathan dos Santos has agreed to sign a new contract with the Spanish champions, valid until the summer of 2015.
The contract specifies that the 21-year-old midfielder's release clause will now be set at 30 million euros.
The promising Barcelona player made his debut in the first team on October 28, 2009, in a King's Cup match against "Cultural Leonesa."
J. dos Santos also briefly appeared on the field in yesterday's Champions League Group H match, in which Barcelona defeated Milan 3-2 away. This victory guaranteed Guardiola's players top spot in the group and a potentially weaker opponent in the first knockout stage.
