Andre Villas-Boas admits that the month of December could be crucial for the London club.
The capital team, who have already suffered six defeats this season in the English Premier League, will face fourth-placed Newcastle and league leaders Man City. In addition, the players are facing a decisive match in the Champions League group stage against Valencia.
"In order to keep our hopes alive in the Premier League, we must play the December matches successfully," said the Portuguese coach after losing to Liverpool in the English League Cup. "We need to play better, we need to feel the passion on the field."
He added: "During this period, we will face Newcastle, Man City, and Tottenham in London. If we show what we are capable of, we can return to the path of victories."
The specialist also asked for the support of the fans: "In away games, we have shown better results statistically as a team. However, at home, we do not play as we should. We need the fans to help us get back on track because there is already some anxiety. We need support - a good atmosphere can solve many problems."
