27th round: "Inter" snatched victory © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, the 27th round matches were played in the Italian championship. After another victory, "Sampdoria" continues the fight for a place in the Champions League next year, while "Inter" snatched a victory in the last minutes thanks to a penalty kick.

"Inter" faced "Lecce" at home and although the visitors scored first, as usual this season the Milan team recovered and won the match as it approached the end, when Adriano scored a penalty kick, his first goal since December of last year.

"Sampdoria" remained in third place, defeating "Chievo" at home with an unconverted penalty kick. "Palermo" club rose to fifth place, taking advantage of an unexpected victory against "Udinese" by "Bologna", and surpassing their opponents after a draw with "Livorno".

Unfortunately for Rome's "Lazio" team, they had to admit defeat to "Messina" away, despite hitting the crossbar twice and having one controversially disallowed goal. "Parma" also won at home, defeating "Cagliari" in dramatic fashion in the last moments.

"Brescia" achieved an important victory, defeating their tournament table neighbors, "Siena", 3-2 on the opponents' field in a battle for survival in the league, while "Fiorentina" defeated "Reggina" at home and distanced themselves from the bottom teams.
