The Lithuanian national team is wanted to be coached by another specialist - 1988 Olympic champion Arminas Narbekovas, announces the country's football federation.
One of Lithuania's most famous football players, Narbekovas worked as an assistant to the resigned Raimondas Žutautas during the 2012 European Championship qualification cycle, while also coaching the "A Lyga" club Gargždai "Bangos".
"Bangos" finished sixth in the national championship, and Narbekovas decided to step down from his duties at the end of the season. The 46-year-old specialist has also coached Vilnius "Žalgiris" for some time.
In addition to him, Liudas Rumbutis and Valdas Ivanauskas would like to lead the national team. This opportunity is also not ruled out by Aurelijus Skarbalius, who is at the helm of the famous Danish club "Brondby".
Among foreign specialists are Hungarian Csaba Laszlo and German Lothar Matthaus.
