On Wednesday, all 16 clubs that will continue to fight in the Champions League knockout matches were revealed.
The following clubs secured first place in their groups: Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Benfica Lisbon, Real Madrid, Chelsea London, Arsenal London, APOEL Nicosia, and Barcelona.
In second places are Napoli, CSKA Moscow, Basel, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille, Zenit St. Petersburg, and Milan.
In the draw ceremony, which will take place in Nyon on December 16, the group winners will face the teams that finished in second place. However, there are some conditions: two clubs that played in the same group and teams from the same country cannot be drawn against each other.
The first leg of the round of 16 matches will be played on February 14 and 22, with the second leg on March 6 and 14. The hosts for the first matches will be the teams that finished second in the group stage.
Meanwhile, the clubs that finished in third place - Man City, Trabzonspor, Man Utd, Ajax Amsterdam, Valencia, Olympiacos Piraeus, Porto, and Viktoria Plzen will join the UEFA Europa League knockout stages.
