Bert van Marwijk has signed a new contract and will lead the Dutch national team until July 2016.
The coach took over the national team in the summer of 2008 and managed to secure fourteen consecutive victories, until ultimately losing to Spain in the 2010 World Cup final.
In addition, the Dutch team easily made it to the final stages of the 2012 European Championship, where they will compete in Group B alongside Germany, Portugal, and Denmark.
Van Marwijk will remain in his position for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 European Championships cycles.
