After breaking a streak of 14 unbeaten matches in a row in the English Premier League, coach Roberto Mancini was dissatisfied with the referee's work.
The leading Manchester club lost 1-2 away to London's Chelsea. However, the result could have been different if the referee had awarded a penalty kick to the guests first, as Jose Bosingwa fouled David Silva in the penalty area.
However, he later allowed the penalty kick, but this time for the Chelsea team - Joleon Lescott played with his hand.
The Italian said, "The referee was probably too close to make a decision in Silva's situation. But he saw the opponents' penalty very well and was sure of his decision. I cannot agree with him."
And he continued, "Probably because of the rain and cold weather, the referee didn't see it. The whole stadium was sure it was a penalty, except him.
"I think we deserved to score two or three goals in the first half because we played fantastically. However, in football, if you don't score, you can lose, and playing in a minority was difficult. I hope now we will start a new streak of 14 unbeaten matches, as December and January are extremely important months."
