Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists that the most important decision he made was appointing Jose Mourinho as the team's coach.
The 48-year-old specialist took over the team in the summer of 2010 and last season helped the club win the King's Cup. However, both in the Champions League and in the Spanish championship, Madrid's eleven did not compare to the Barcelona club.
"The most important decision of my career as president was choosing Mourinho, because he never gives up," Perez said. "And no matter what challenge awaits.
"Of course, the loss to the Barcelona team last weekend was painful, but it made us stronger. Confidence in the dressing room is constantly growing. We have already achieved a lot: we have won 15 games in a row and achieved the best result in the group stage of the Champions League."
