The Cameroon Football Federation has disqualified the striker Samuel Eto'o from playing in 15 matches. This punishment was given to the country's most famous striker for organizing a players' strike.

The national team members were upset in November about the bonuses they were being awarded, so the friendly match planned for November with Algeria had to be cancelled.

According to the federation, Eto'o violated internal rules regarding loyalty and obligation to play the scheduled matches.

The 30-year-old national team captain representing FC Anzhi Makhachkala has ten days to appeal. The vice-captain, Enohas Eyong, will miss two matches, and Benoit Assou-Ekotto will have to pay nearly 2 thousand dollars in fines.
