London's coach is looking for a new defender to help fill the gap left by the still-injured Kieran Gibbs.
The capital's team must cope without several key defensive players, such as Bacary Sagna, Carl Jenkinson, Andre Santos, and Johan Djourou.
Gibbs was supposed to return to the squad soon, but his rehabilitation has been prolonged.
"We are looking for new players that we might need if Gibbs can't play," said Wenger. "In the near future, Kieran will meet with specialists who will advise, and if the news is bad, we will consider who we could rent."
It is said that the team could be supplemented by left-back Wayne Bridge. The 31-year-old Englishman currently plays for Manchester City, but this season he has only played one game in the league cup tournament.
