Leaders of the English Premier League deny that any of their club staff harassed players with racist insults after the Champions League quarter-final match at Stamford Bridge stadium.

"Barcelona" striker from Cameroon Samuel Eto'o told journalists that after the match a "Chelsea" stadium employee insulted him as he was walking to the dressing room. "One of the stadium attendants called me a monkey... that is the club's mentality," said Eto'o.

However, "Chelsea" club, who won both games with an overall score of 5-4, stated on Wednesday: "Chelsea completely rejects any claims that any racist comments were made by any of the club's permanent or match-day staff. "Chelsea" consistently supports anti-racism campaigns and condemns any forms of racism."

The excellent match was marred by outbreaks of anger near the tunnel to the dressing rooms, as match officials rushed "Barcelona" players off the field.
